Home Inspectors
Once we have your home under contract, I recommend that you have the home inspected by a licensed Home Inspector. He or she has a license that is very much like the license I have. The state requires a certain level of training and testing before the license is issued. Some Home Inspectors participate in a mentoring program where they are actually assisting with home inspectors under the direct supervision of an extremely experienced inspector.
The Home Inspector works for you, the Home Buyer. He or she reports to you. Ask your friends and family if they know a Home Inspector they can recommend. Get them to tell them about their experiences with the Home Inspection process.
